June 6 was the annual Community and 4-H Day at the Co-op Country Store in Milford. It featured a barbecue, pet photos, dog nail trims, 4-H petting zoo and excellent in-store specials. Better than that, it was all free! All donations collected went to Shu-Mil 4-H Club, of which Sam is currently a member of.
Despite the rain, (which fell heavy on us all day) a lot of people showed up to enjoy the events. Our doe, Sigma, was a part of the 4-H petting zoo. She was happy to greet anyone who walked by her pen, and accepted raisin treats from little kids. She did our herd name proud! Later on in the day, Sigma was taken over to get her picture taken in front of the beautiful display by the Farm Store. She proved to be quite the photogenic doe!
Don’t be surprised if you stop by and see us at next year’s Co-op Community Day! It’s always the first weekend of June.
